Morning sickness?
Ginger During pregnancy
Ginger has been one of my best friends from the beginning of my pregnancy. Is safe to take in capsules or drink in moderate quantities. When I was in the first trimester with morning sickness (which can happened anytime during the day or even at nights) I found at the drugstore organic ginger it comes in pills of 500mg from a well known brand, I was surprised that they have an organic version with no contraindications because that was exactly what I was looking for as most people that knows me I’m very skeptical to take medications even if is under the counter unless my baby or I lives are in risk. You can also buy the root but, honestly who feels like eating or drinking that strong holiday ginger flavour when you are feeling awful… Well, for me those pills worked really well during that time. Now that I am in the 3rd trimester and feeling like eating more I make ginger tea with lemon (you can add honey or or even better to add organic agave syrup) tastes delicious and it helps you recover from a flu or seasonal allergies. You can consider the different versions of ginger like candies, tea, add in soups and food, they are all great, just watch that the sugar content is not too high, otherwise make your own and enjoy it!
