Avoid caffeinated Drinks during pregnancy

A big no-no to caffeine

Avoid caffeine during pregnancy, it may lead to high blood pressure, dehydration, and increases heart rate. caffeine crosses the placenta to your baby so it can cause changes in your baby’s sleep pattern or changes in normal movements in the later stages of pregnancy. Remember, caffeine is a stimulant and can keep both you and your baby awake.

Numerous studies on animals have shown that caffeine can cause birth defects, premature labour, preterm delivery, reduced fertility, and increase the risk of low birth weight and other reproductive problems. A recent study shows pregnant women who drink more than eight cups of coffee a day are more than twice as likely to suffer a stillbirth compared with women who don’t drink coffee during pregnancy.

There have not been any conclusive studies done on humans; however, it is still better to play it safe when it comes to inconclusive studies.

We can find caffeine not only in coffee…
